Untouchable

Untouchable follows human rights activist Bishnu Maya Pariyar as she journeys across Nepal to return to the village where she was born and raised. Throughout the trek, Bishnu recalls fond memories of her youth as well as painful reminders of the discrimination that she faced as a result of her family’s low-caste heritage. A true figure of courage and perseverance, Bishnu relates how she has been able to overcome the oppressive situation that she was born into and how she is helping other women to do the same.

Labor of Love

As her second child’s due date approaches, Eliza grows anxious as she’s constantly reminded of the horrifying physical and emotional pain she experienced during her first childbirth. Worse, she must find a way to cover the nearly insurmountable cost of giving birth in the local hospital or take the risk of giving birth without care in her own home. Labor of Love follows Eliza’s antepartum journey and the hope provided to mothers in the Philippines by Mercy in Action.

For My Daughter

In Maasailand, Tanzania, women as young as 10 are traded as child brides for livestock. However, through education these young women are enabled to choose their own future. For My Daughter is the story of one mother struggling to provide her daughter with a choice of a better future through the opportunity of education.

Join the Lights was an endeavor to discover and share stories of compassion throughout the world through film.

STORYCRAFT contributed story development and creative direction as well as post-production services throughout the project. Producing over a dozen short documentary films, the project told stories about individuals in twelve different countries including Venezuela, Uganda, Kenya, Myanmar, and Palestine.
